Field Sales Solutions employees set off on a journey to travel as many miles as possible from 1st – 28th February in aid of GroceryAid and today on GroceryAid day we are proud and delighted to announce that we have raised £8,968 in aid of the charity!

Our fundraising journey was a companywide initiative which saw all areas of our business, across our head office and field teams, working together as one team with one clear goal – to raise money and awareness for the incredible industry charity GroceryAid.

We were determined from the start!

On the 1st February we set off on a journey to travel from Lands’ End to John O’ Groats but within 2 weeks we had exceeded all expectations and managed not just the ‘end to end’ challenge but a full round trip – in fact we travelled 2,787 miles! 

In week 3 we took on a fresh challenge and set off on a ‘capital to capital’ journey, a route that would take 1,428 miles , so our next goal was to see how many laps we could complete. Once again the team embraced the challenge and achieved 2 full laps in 1 week – travelling an amazing 2,591 miles! 

We took ownership of every challenge we faced and with each obstacle came a renewed focus to not only deliver…but exceed expectations!

By the third week  of the journey the team had managed a breath taking 5,378 miles in aid of GroceryAid exceeding all expectations! But we still had our final week to complete and so we set off for the final time on a journey that would see us go the distance to truly make a positive difference for GroceryAid.

This company fundraiser has been more than a journey of miles, but a true team adventure!

In doing this challenge we have seen so many positive outcomes including:

  • Heightened awareness of GroceryAid services and support –  we are extremely proud to have been recognised by GroceryAid with a gold award for our support and the results achieved are absolutely testament to how much people within our organisation value GroceryAid.
  •  A renewed focus on wellbeing & the benefits of getting active – through the wind, rain and snow the team have continued to get out, get active and go the distance for GroceryAid.
  • One Team, One Goal – from socially distanced walks, to healthy team competition we have been unified as a business, at a time when we are apart. We have worked together to deliver something we are all extremely proud of. 

Together we have gone the distance to make a positive difference in so many ways  and today on GroceryAid day we are proud of every single person who has contributed to this initiative.

Thank you to everyone who came on this journey with us, every single mile you travelled made a difference and will go towards providing invaluable support to people within the Grocery industry through GroceryAid services.
